Scotch Bonnet Yellow Sun

A relative of the habanero clan, this ferociously hot chilli has nothing to do with Scotland, but derives its name from the fact that it looks like a “Tam O’Shanter”, the head garb worn by the character of the same name in Robert Burns poem of 1790.

We only harvest these peppers when they reach maturity, which is as they ripen from lime green to a rich golden yellow. This chilli pepper is not for the faint of heart as its super-heated flesh, contains massive levels of capsaicin, the stuff that makes chillies hot.
